South Campus Staff Strengthen Skills During Professional Development Day

Trinity Basin Preparatory South Campus educators spent Professional Development Day learning, collaborating and preparing new strategies to support student success.

Staff participated in several focused sessions, including “Everyone Needs a Champion,” which emphasized building strong connections with students from the moment they enter the classroom. Other sessions explored math fluency, effective lesson structure and strategies for establishing clear classroom expectations.

During “What to Do: Watercolor Edition,” educators worked together to develop classroom expectations that meet the needs of all learners. Staff also explored how movement, active learning, memory techniques, classroom culture and strong relationships can help students remain engaged and retain new information.

Through thoughtful discussion and hands-on activities, South Campus educators strengthened their instructional practices while sharing ideas with their colleagues. The day reinforced the campus’s commitment to creating welcoming, consistent and engaging learning environments where every student can thrive.
